Blockages can lead to pressure buildup within the ducts, causing issues with airflow and energy usage. Make sure the openings to the system aren’t closed or blocked by furniture or other large items.

Inspect the Outdoor Unit

The outdoor unit of a commercial HVAC system requires regular maintenance, as well. It may be on the roof, in which case you’ll likely need to hire a technician to check it. If it’s placed on the ground around the facility, you can check to make sure the space around it is clear. Any landscaping should be trimmed back to allow for sufficient airflow.
